The best way to get to know Unitarian Universalists of
Clearwater is to attend one of the regular worship services.
Here you will find opportunities to:
· Explore spiritual alternatives and deepen your
understanding of the intimate and ultimate questions of
life
· encounter wisdom from the world's great sacred and
secular traditions
· Deepen your spiritual understanding
· Hear inspiring music
· Make connections with kindred spirits
Although worship at UUC is not bound by a specific set of
liturgical conventions, each service tends to have a particular
theme which is expanded in the reflections and echoed by
hymns, readings, meditations and music.
There are also special celebration worship services to mark
important events in the life of our community. These include:
· Yom Kippur
· Diwali (Hindu Festival of Lights)
· Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday
· Interfaith Thanksgiving Service
· Christmas Eve
· Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday
· Easter and Flower Communion
· Passover Seder
· Buddha’s Birthday Celebration (Vesak)
· Memorial Day
· Coming of Age Recognition (High School Seniors)
· Holiday Music Programs
Religious education classes for children (and childcare for
infants and toddlers up to age two) are available during the
worship service. Children attend the first 20 minutes of the
worship on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. |
