Directions to UUC
Sunday Programs
The Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater provide a variety of programs every Sunday to meet the spiritual and social needs of children, youth and adults.

A Typical Sunday Service at UUC

Worship Service

10:30 AM

In the Octagon

Worship Services are led by our minister, Rev. Dr. Anthony Johnson, worship associates, and periodically by guest speakers. The best way to get to know Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater is to attend one of the regular worship services. Childcare for infants and toddlers is available during the worship service. Children who are enrolled in the Religious Education program attend the beginning of most worship services, and listen to a children's message before going to their classes.

Here you will find opportunities to:
<> Explore spiritual alternatives and deepen your understanding of the intimate and ultimate questions of life.
<> encounter wisdom from the world's great sacred and secular traditions.
<> Deepen your spiritual understanding · Hear inspiring music.
<> Make connections with kindred spirits.
<> Although worship at UUC is not bound by a specific set of liturgical conventions, each service tends to have a particular theme which is expanded in the reflections and echoed by hymns, readings, meditations and music.

There are also special celebration worship services to mark important events in the life of our community. These include:
<> Yom Kippur
<> Diwali (Hindu Festival of Lights)
<> Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday
<> Interfaith Thanksgiving Service
<> Christmas Eve
<> Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday
<> Easter and Flower Communion
<> Passover Seder
<> Buddha’s Birthday Celebration (Vesak)
<> Memorial Day
<> Coming of Age Recognition (High School Seniors)
<> Holiday Music Programs

Welcome to the religious education program for children and youth of the Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater. We have a Nursery for infants and toddlers up to age three, and classes for Pre-K, K-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and youth 6th-12th grade The Unitarian Universalist approach is unique, in that it focuses on human and spiritual values rather than a creed, providing thoughtful assistance as each person develops an individual concept of his or her place in the world. Together, we provide a community where children, youth, and adults can explore the great religious questions of humanity. For details of our program, please click here.
